Longtime MICHR Community Partner Named President-Elect of APHA

Ella Greene-Moton, a longtime MICHR community partner, was elected President-Elect of the American Public Health Association, which is a three-year term including the President-Elect, President, and Past President respectively.

The Flint resident is Executive Consultant with Health in Our Hands (HiOH) and Co-Chair of the HiOH Flint/Genesee Partners. She also serves as Administrator of the Community Based Organization Partners’ (CBOP) Community Ethics Review Board; a Board member of the Flint Community Development Center; and Chair of the NAACP Academic Cultural Technological – Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) Program.  

Ms. Greene-Moton has more than 40 years experience in public health advocacy in Flint, the state of Michigan and the nation, building partnerships between academic institutions and community-based organizations using community-based participatory research (CBPR) to impact community health.
