An interdisciplinary team of researchers from across the University of Michigan, including the Institute of Social Research and the Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR), have published a new comprehensive toolkit to help patients and caregivers navigate the COVID journey every step of the way.

MICHR’s Community Engagement program worked alongside its community-academic partners and MICHR’s Translational Innovation program to develop Michigan Research Engaging the Academy and Community in Health (M-REACH).

Beginning with a human-centered design consultation, MICHR’s Innovation team partners with teams across U-M to help transform research ideas into people-centered interventions.

MICHR’s new Research Jams are designed to assist groups of faculty surface cutting-edge research ideas, build collaborations, create shared research agendas, and develop strategic action plans or grant proposals.

To aid accessibility to crucial COVID-19 patient data, MICHR launched a COVID-19 Rapid Response Research Registry to offer a centralized clinical characterization and management resource of what the scientific and health care community has learned through this public health pandemic.

MICHR Facilitated Brainstorming Sessions are designed to assist groups of faculty from a diverse range of disciplines surface cutting-edge research ideas, build collaborations and shared research agendas, and develop strategic action plans or grant proposals.
