Take and Evaluate Updated Social & Behavioral Research Best Practices Training

The Social & Behavioral Research Best Practices Training Course was recently updated for health researchers with support from a grant from the National Institutes of Health. Originally developed in 2017, it has since been updated and expanded to include a new module on Community Engagement and with the most up-to-date guidance on social and behavioral clinical trial conduct.

This training should take approximately 2-3 hours to complete after which you will receive an email invitation within two weeks to take a 10-minute evaluation survey. The evaluation is critically important to us so we can make the course most relevant to learners.

In appreciation for your time, we are also offering the chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card for completing the evaluation survey. The first 100 people to finish the survey will be invited to enter a raffle for one of 10 gift cards. To participate in the raffle, individuals completing the survey will be asked for their name and address for university accounting purposes. The Amazon gift card will be sent as a link to the 10 winners’ email addresses this winter, when we reach the 100 completed survey mark.

Why should you take this course?

  • This training will satisfy the NIH’s Good Clinical Practice training requirements for U-M employees doing social and behavioral research studies (REQUIRED EVERY 3 YEARS)

  • The training includes the latest guidance regarding social and behavioral research studies

  • A new module on community-engaged health research has been developed and added

  • Your participation will help to evaluate the impact of this training on the health research workforce.

  • It’s a great way to familiarize yourself with social and behavioral research if you are new to the area or are working in research teams

You are invited to participate in this updated training by clicking on this link, which will take you to the registration page on U-M’s My LINC site. Please feel free to share this invitation with other health research colleagues, staff, and students working at U-M.
