Join the MICHR K Writing Workshop program for valuable peer critiques and feedback from senior faculty who are experienced in NIH study section thinking. During this introductory three-part workshop, participants will exchange drafts of their proposals, so please be prepared to share your own proposal draft during the course of the workshop.

Data analysts and statisticians who find themselves without support from other statisticians now have the Applied Biostatistical Sciences Network (ABS), established by MICHR, to bring together biostatisticians and research investigators to collaborate, share ideas and learn cutting-edge research methods.

Consider applying for the MICHR Mentoring Academy. The Mentoring Academy is designed for senior postdocs and faculty in clinical and translational research. Participants in this program will learn how to better coach and counsel other less-experienced mentors as well as enhance their own interpersonal skills for mutually beneficial mentor-mentee interactions.

MICHR’s annual three-month Summer Research Program provides students with a rich experience in clinical, translational, and health disparities research and inspires them to choose a research-focused career.

Applications are now being accepted for the two-year MICHR-K Award. The award provides protected time for a clinician scientist to focus on conducting clinical research. Early career faculty with an MD or clinical PhD who are interested in obtaining mentored training in translational sciences are encouraged to apply.

To address the need for consistent training, assessment, and measures of competency, MICHR has collaborated with three universities to launch the DIAMOND portal.  

The portal is a pioneering digital collection that serves as a database for members of clinical and translational research study teams to share and access training and assessment resources.
