Last month MICHR announced that we were awarded a new seven-year, $71M grant to advance clinical & translational science. In addition to this NIH UM1 grant, we recently received word that our T32 pre-doctoral institutional training and K12 career development programs were funded in the amounts of $2.7M and $8.1M, respectively.

“Over the past 15 years, MICHR has engaged hundreds of pre-doctoral trainees and post-doctoral scholars and provided the foundation for many productive research careers. Our alumni have authored nearly 5,000 scientific publications and have been a part of 240 policy documents,” said Vicki Ellingrod, MICHR Associate Director and Dean, College of Pharmacy. “We are excited about these two new programs, which will build on our previous success by enhancing training for diverse cohorts of scholars and trainees, who we welcomed on their path to becoming leaders in translational science earlier this month.”

MICHR is proud to contribute to building the translational science communities with these programs, integrating critical feedback from alumni and other stakeholders to implement new competency-based educational initiatives.
