Apply for MICHR’s New T32 Training Program by April 1

The new MICHR Predoctoral T32 program is an experiential research training program that provides translational science training. Students will learn the fundamentals of translational research through an individualized, mentored research project and team-based learning experiences.

Ideal candidates are students beginning their PhD programs or students in the third year of a professional health degree program. The curriculum includes didactic courses, seminar courses, and a research immersion. Some of this training can be completed remotely. The MICHR T32 provides stipend, $16K in tuition support yearly, and research expense support. Eligible applicants can be from any school, college, or U-M campus (Ann Arbor, Flint, Dearborn).

Eligibility:

  • Individuals in the first three years of a PhD program OR 3rd year health professional degree students interested in a year-out research experience

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident

  • The program begins Spring/Summer 2023

  • a short academic statement and a personal statement

  • a letter of support from your research mentor

  • a letter of release from your home school/college
