MICHR Awards 17 Teams in New Translational Research Mcubed Diamond Funding Program

MICHR has funded 17 teams through the Mcubed Diamond Program, awarding nearly $500,000 to support innovative research across multiple stages of translation, including preclinical and clinical research, clinical implementation, and health outcome studies.

Each awarded project received $15,000-$60,000 in funding, and teams represent numerous U-M schools/colleges and all three campuses. The Translational Research Diamond Program was fully funded by MICHR, and this model allowed teams to pursue their novel ideas and collaborative efforts quickly.

“We at MICHR recognized the potential synergy of a partnership with Mcubed to catalyze teams focused on translational science. The response has been tremendous and we are excited about the new initiatives this collaboration is supporting,” said George Mashour, MD, PhD, Executive Director of MICHR.
