What is this service?

IDEAL-CTS is a pioneering initiative focused on promoting Innovation, Diversity, Health Equity,  Accountability and Leadership in  Clinical and Translational Sciences (CTS). Our service aims to foster collaboration between community and academic partners, with the core goal of expediting innovative strategies for advancing health equity in medical research and leadership. IDEAL programming will include a leadership development program in the areas of health equity and clinical and translational science (CTS); a quarterly newsletter; a quarterly seminar on current topics intersecting health equity; and an annual symposium showcasing cutting-edge HE research and excellence across the state.

Who can use this service?

This service may be used by all individuals regardless of affiliation with the University of Michigan or Michigan Medicine - interested in innovating strategies for improving health equity in Michigan. Whether you are a community member, academic researcher, University staff, or other health advocate, IDEAL-CTS offers a platform for innovation, education, and collaboration.

When should I contact MICHR about this service?

You can contact MICHR, or our IDEAL-CTS team directly, at any time. Our team is here to assist you with information on IDEAL’s tenants (including the concepts of diversity, equity, leadership, or CTS), programming, and upcoming events. You need not have an existing relationship with MICHR, the University of Michigan, or Michigan Medicine to engage with IDEAL-CTS.
